Acupuncture to treat glaucoma

Glaucoma is a very serious eye disease. It is the intraocular pressure higher than normal. Some patients have symptoms such as headache, vision decrease. One common  indication of all types of glaucoma is lack of blood flow to the optic nerve that can lead to loss of vision.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicines can help.

Natural care acupuncture  promotes circulation to the eyes, and decrease intraocular pressure.
I treated one patient who has been diagnosed glaucoma, he had a very bad headache behind his left eye, only one treatment, the headache was disappeared. The herbal medicine helps to maintain the intraocular pressure to be normal.

People who have these followings should take an complete eye examination every year:

  • family history of glaucoma
  • diabetes
  • smoke more than one pack per day cigarettes
  • African-American

  1. I didn’t know that acupuncture helped with glaucoma. I can see how making sure you do your research and consult with your doctor can help you find the best treatment for you. I would want to maker sure I know how and when to treat this and make sure the people who treat it are certified to do so.

    • Hello
Acupuncture can help many health condition problems which get an amazing result. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine is holistic medicine, we look a whole body, and treat root of the problems, for example: glaucoma, eyes problem, liver opens to eyes, definitely acupuncture treats liver first. When the liver function is better, then the eyes are better too.
